Hazel Lee Hinson, 84, passed away Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, in Dallas.
She was born to Buster and Willie Bertha Daniel on Sept. 24, 1928, in Linden. She worked for Southwestern Bell in Dallas until her retirement. She was a very strong and independent lady. She loved to fish, work in her yard and spend time with her family and friends. She never had children, but had numerous nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly. She was always willing to help anyone who needed it. She will be missed very much. She was a Christian, loved the Lord and was blessed with a long and happy life.
The family would like to thank her neighbors Charles and Mary Cupp, who were kind enough to assist her, if needed, which allowed her to stay home in her last days.

Bobby Joe Hamilton, 80, of Linden passed away Sept. 18, 2013, in a Linden hospital.
He was born Aug. 23, 1933, in Linden to Robert and Pearl Surratt Hamilton. He was an engineer at Morton-Thiokol and served in the U.S. Army National Guard. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Pearl Hamilton; one brother, Curtis Hamilton; one sister, Lynda McDuff; and father and mother-in-law, M. P. and Cecil Yates.

Carolyn Jane Maxwell, 73, of Bivins, went to be with the Lord, Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at her residence surrounded by family.
She was born Nov. 26, 1939, in Illinois to Alex and Dorothy Lockhart. She was a homemaker and a Methodist by faith. She loved spending time with family.
Her parents; son, Ralph Stukes; daughter, Brenda Stukes; grandson, Andrew Stukes; and a sister, Edna Flores, precede her in death.

James E. “Paw Paw” Wood, 62, of Bloomburg, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013 at his residence.

He was born Oct. 19, 1950, in Texarkana to Carl and Vada Wood. He worked in the maintenance division of the Texarkana Regional Airport. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

His parents, Carl and Vada Wood and a grandson, Justin Wood, preceded him in death.

Marie Shelton, 69, of Queen City, went to be with the Lord Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, at her residence.

He was born Aug. 19, 1944, in Texarkana, Ark., to James and Edith Banks. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, sewing and painting.

She was preceded in death by a son, James Shelton.

She is survived by her husband 52 years, Jimmie Shelton, Sr. of Queen City; a son, Jimmie Shelton, Jr. of Murfreesboro, Ark.; three daughters, Sharleen Villalobos of Murfreesboro, Cindy Villalobos and fiancé Sam Robinson of Murfreesboro and Amanda Shelton of Hallsville; seven grandchildren, and a number of other relatives and friends.

A private memorial service will be later.
