Seven Rabbs are on 14-4A All-District list

The 14-4A All-District list was released recently and seven Rabbits received honors.
Layton Henson was named Offensive MVP in a district crowded with talent; Jake Thompson was tabbed Newcomer of Year; Nick Hale was selected a First Team Outfielder; Christian Oliver was selected a Second Team Outfielder; Jose Arredondo was chosen a Second Team Utility player and both Kade Wood and Max Ebarb took home Honorable Mention honors.

Queen City High School senior Kenadi Meador signed her letter of intent to play softball for the Lady Dragons of Paris Junior College in front of family, teammates, friends and school officials May 23. Seated to the left of Kenadi is her mother Misty Odom and to the right is her father Jason Meador. Atlanta Wins State Title

Atlanta's varsity boys' track team competed in and won the Class 4A State Championship Saturday evening! TeShuna Sheppard also nabbed a silver medal in the triple jump! The Journal would like to congratulate our amazing athletes for a job well done.

Coins for Canton

Students and employees of the Atlanta Independent School District (AISD) recently raised money to assist the town of Canton with its recovery efforts in the wake of several deadly tornadoes that touched down there just over a week ago. Canton area residents are still coping with damage to property and loss of life after their community was ravaged by the deadly storms. The AISD students and employees raised more than $3,700 to assist, which was presented during the baseball games between the Atlanta Rabbs and Canton Eagles.

Atlanta track athletes punch tickets to state meet

Atlanta track has been on point all track season long.
After turning in fantastic performances from beginning to end the Rabbit track program took plenty of confidence into the Region 2, 4A Regional Track Meet last week.
In this meet the top two teams or individuals advance to state along with the best third place finishers overall in some events.
