James E. “Paw Paw” Wood, 62, of Bloomburg, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013 at his residence.
He was born Oct. 19, 1950, in Texarkana to Carl and Vada Wood. He worked in the maintenance division of the Texarkana Regional Airport. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
His parents, Carl and Vada Wood and a grandson, Justin Wood, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Wood of Bloomburg; one son, James Wood of Bloomburg; one daughter, Linda Brown and husband Bubba of Genoa, Ark,; a brother, Kenneth Wood and wife Karon of Doddridge, Ark.; two sisters, Jane Blackman and husband Glenn of Doddridge and Margaret Kuykendall and husband Steve of Batesville, Ark.; daughter-in-law, Christine Wood of Bloomburg; two grandchildren, Cody Wood of Doddridge and William Brown of Genoa.
Memorial Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, at Macedonia Baptist Church in Miller County, Ark. under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Macedonia Cemetery Association, 19776 Hwy. 237, Doddridge, Ark. 71834.
