Hazel Azelle Thomas, 92, died in Atlanta on Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013. She was born in Texarkana March 29, 1921. She married Raymond Thomas July 4, 1940, on the steps of the Courthouse in Texarkana, Ark. The couple had four children; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers; three sisters; her husband; her son; and four grandchildren.
She wanted to be a medical doctor, but was unable to fulfill her dream, so she donated her body to science, perhaps as contribution to the medical profession.
The family wishes to thank each and every person who had a loving hand in her life.

Evelyn Thompson, 75, of Bradley, Ark., went to be with the Lord, Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, in a Texarkana hospital.
She was born May 16, 1938, in Atlanta and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and restaurant server for many years. Evelyn and J.C. sang together at Red River Church until he passed away. She was a friend to everyone.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Thompson and a stepson, Norman Thompson.

Bonnie Lundy Stout, 77, of Doddridge, Ark., went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, in a Texarkana hospital.

She was born Jan. 1, 1936, Miller County, Ark., to Pearly and Mamie Alexander. She was retired from Golden Villa Nursing Home and a lifelong member of Sand Hill Assembly of God Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing and sewing.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Billy Lundy and Robert Stout; two daughters, Sherry Jones and Linda Purkey; a brother, Paul Alexander; a grandson, Michael Ragsdale, and her parents.

Patricia Ann Benson, 70, of Queen City, went to be with the Lord Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, at her home surrounded by family.
She was born Aug. 25, 1943, in Atlanta. She was raised by her grandparents, Ebb and Willie Burton. She was a Baptist by faith and a member of Tanglewood Missionary Baptist Church. She was also a member of The Order of Eastern Star of Linden. She was married to her soul mate, Charles “Honey” Edward Benson II, for 43 years and was a very loving mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ebb and Willie Burton; her son, Brian Wintle; and a brother, Charles Burton.
