Reba Faye Dawson, 71, of Queen City, went to be with the Lord, Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, in a local hospital.
She was born Feb. 15, 1942, in Winthrop, Ark., to Vernon and Faye Broomfield Dawson. She was a homemaker and a Baptist by faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Faye Dawson.
She is survived by three sons, Matthew Hinton, Mark Lowery and Robert Lowery, all of Queen City; one daughter, Ginger Cobb of Queen City; two brothers, Arthur Dawson of Texarkana and Jerry Bob Dawson of Texarkana; two sisters, Jama Allerheiliten of Ashdown, Ark., and Frances Turner of Jefferson; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, at Hanner Funeral Service.

Freddie Allen Keener, 65, beloved father slipped away from this life Monday, Oct. 7, 2013 at CHRISTUS St. Michael Medical Hospital in Texarkana with his loving daughters by his side. 
He was born Nov. 6, 1947, in Shreveport, La., to James Russell and Lucille Goldie Turner Keener. He was a retired police officer and welder. His family and friends will miss him.
His wife, Tina Marie England Keener; his parents, James Russell and Lucille Goldie Turner Keener; his beloved brother, James Russell “Buz” Keener, Jr.; and his beloved sister, Jerri Lane Keener, preceded him in death.

Judy Sartor Pursley, 71, of Atlanta, passed away at St. Michael Hospital, Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013. Born Dec. 11, 1941, in San Antonio, she was raised in Atlanta.
She was a cheerleader for Texarkana College for two years and a former Miss Atlanta. Her passion was traveling and taking pictures in many places of the world. She worked in the film industry for 30 years as a production accountant in many movies.
She was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Oscar Sartor and mother, Mildred Johnson Sartor; grandmother, Mille Mae Sartor (Pete); and a sister, Sandy Sartor.

GRACE BELLE MORSE

Grace Belle Morse, 96, of Bivins, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at her home after a brief illness.
She was born March 27, 1917, to Jack and Effie Jones of Wayne’s Crossing, outside of Bivins.  She was married to T. M. “Skeet” Morse until his death in 1994. She was a lifelong resident of Bivins, a retired U. S. Postmaster, owner of the Bivins Post Office, alumni of the Texas Woman’s College and a lifetime member of First United Methodist Church of Atlanta.
She was an active lady and always on the go. She loved to go shopping, adding crosses, animal figures and fashion jewelry to her collection. She will be truly missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her husband, T. M. “Skeet” Morse; her parents, Jack and Effie Jones; and a sister, Gladys Lou Jones.

Elizabeth McKenzie, 92, of Atlanta, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 7, 1920, in Naples to James and Anna McCasland. She was retired from Ellington Memorial Clinic and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Her husband, John L. “Cotton” McKenzie; her parents; and a son, Ronald J. McKenzie, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Anna Vaughan and husband Bubba of Maud, Jim McKenzie and wife Sandy of Quinlan and Kim Mercer of Kaufman; great-grandson, Darrell Jarratt of Killeen; and a number of other great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, at Pine Crest Cemetery with Rev. Guy Williams officiating under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.

Eunice Coats Perritt, 87, formerly of Atlanta, died peacefully in a Dallas nursing home Friday, Oct. 4, 2013.
She was born Oct. 16, 1925, to the late E. G. “Gid” and Daisy Coats in Mena, Ark. She was the sixth of seven children and went to school in Queen City. She survived polio as an infant and longed for the day she could run in heaven; she is now.
She was a loving, caring mother, sister, Mammaw and friend. She loved her family and fishing. She also collected ceramic frogs. She was a member of the Smyrna Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Oliver Andrew Perritt and her grandson, Mark Allen Blizzard.

James William Riley, 73, of Atlanta, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at his home. He was born July 24, 1940.
He is preceded in death by his parents Roscoe and Laura Riley; and his brothers, Fred and Scott Riley.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Judy Ann Edgington Riley; three sons, Terry Lee Riley, Richard Allen “Rick” Riley and James William Riley, all of Atlanta; daughter, Lindsey Riley Harris of Atlanta; sisters, Fran Enright of Illinois, Jennifer Klebs of Indiana and Karen Sockman of Ohio; brothers, Ross Riley of Florida and Mike Riley of Ohio; grandchildren, Amy Riley, Rick Riley Jr., James “JR” Riley, Sky Riley, Star Riley, Brian Harris and Ari’Lynn Larry; and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at Cornerstone Assembly of God in Atlanta.
