Evelyn “Mama” Mills, 95, of Doddridge, Ark., went to be with the Lord Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 7, 1918, in Muskogee, Okla., to Albert and Carrie Willis. She was a homemaker and a Baptist by faith. “Mama Mills” loved to spend time with her grandchildren and tending to her flower garden.
Her husband, Leo Mills; a son, Denver Mills; a daughter, Cheryl Mills and her parents preceded her in death.

Paul Louis Woodruff, 44, of New Boston, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, in a Tyler hospital. He was born May 29, 1969, in Dallas. He was a truck driver with J.B. Hunt, a Baptist and a U.S. Army veteran
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marsha Burkhalter.
Survivors include his wife, KiAnn Woodruff of New Boston; two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Olivia Woodruff of Linden and Gabe McCarty of New Boston; two daughters, Kaylee McCarty of New Boston and Robbie Fay Johnson of Linden; one grandson, Wyatt Wooduff of Linden;  five brothers, Jimmy Burkhalter of Red Hill, Phillip Burkhalter of Texarkana, Johnny Valderas, Jr. of Dallas, Chris Valderas of Dallas and Darrell Valderas of Dallas; one sister, Brandi Bernal of Forney; his parents; Johnny Valderas, Sr. of Ferris and Ted Burkhalter of O’Farrell; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Michael W. Boone, 72, of Queen City, died at his home Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013.
Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, at Community Mortuary in Atlanta, with the family in attendance from 4 to 6 p.m.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Golden Gate Baptist Church in Domino.
Interment will follow at the Ware Cemetery in Comino under the direction of Community Mortuary.

Edith Wilbanks Stanley, 97, of Bloomburg, went to be with the Lord Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, in a Texarkana adult care facility.
She was born June 13, 1916, in Cass County, to John and Ethel Philpot Wilbanks. She was a homemaker, a member of First Baptist Church of Bloomburg and loved sewing, quilting and cooking “Mammaw Meals” for her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, S. R. Stanley and her parents.
She is survived by one son, Welber “Webb” Stanley and wife Saundra of Texarkana; two daughters, Betty Stuckey and husband Joe of Doddridge, Ark., and Beverley Griffin and husband Phill of Atlanta; one brother, Quenton Wilbanks of Dallas; two sisters, Dorothy Solley of Mesquite and Peggy Dupree of Queen City; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Charles Arthur Swift, 88, of Linden, passed away Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, at his home in Linden. He was born April 7, 1925, in Clarksville, Ark., to Cyrus Welborn Swift and Vassie Mae Laneer. 
He was a jeweler. He served in the Army and was a WWII Veteran of the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of the VFW, where he is a Past Commander, and a member of the Disabled American Veterans He was member of First Baptist Church of Linden.
His wife Darathy Swift and his parents preceded him in death.
He is survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law, Butch and Gail Swift of South Lake and Danny and Pam Swift of Longview; seven grandchildren, Michelle, Melissa, Bryant, Lisa, Celena, Brent and Tricia; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, from 6 to 8 pm at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home.

Constance Irene Adcock, 86, of McLeod, went to be with the Lord, Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, in a local hospital.
She was born Aug. 8, 1927, in Sulphur, Okla., to Andrew and Jewel Talent Kennedy. She was a homemaker and a member of Good Exchange Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herman Adcock; and a sister.
She is survived by one daughter, Patsy Dotson and husband Bob of McLeod; two sisters, Lavearn Smith of Atlanta and Estelle Caldwell of Atlanta; three grandchildren, Rob Dotson of Bloomburg, Lisa Sweeney of Crosby and Jeff Dotson of Atlanta; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, at Huffines Cemetery with Bro. Austin Lewis and Bro. Dee Cruson officiating. Interment will be under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.

David Killian, 63, of Vivian, La., passed away Monday, Nov. 11, 2013. He was born March 20, 1950, in Shreveport to Hol and Hazel Killian. He was raised in Rodessa, La., and lived in Vivian for most of his life.  He enjoyed going to car shows and chuck wagon races in Arkansas. He loved spending time with his grandkids, watermelons and Eddie Shephard BBQ.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Mike Killian and Ned Killian; and a grandson, Nathan Kole.
