Audrey Matlock, 81, of Atlanta, went to be with the Lord, Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, in a Texarkana hospital.
She was born Oct. 18, 1932, in Shreveport, La., to Milton and Wilma Atkins. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Victory Sunday School Class. She had a passion for painting and was a member of the Atlanta Art League and the Springhill Art Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Wilma Atkins and a sister, Mary Young.

BONNIE ELLEN BRUMLEY

Bonnie Ellen Brumley, 78, passed from her earthly body into her heavenly body to be with Jesus Christ, our Lord on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013. She was born Sept. 8, 1935, in Brownfield to Bonnie Wayne and Dolly Ladona Nelson Horn. She was a 1953 graduate of Brownfield High School and married her high school sweetheart Eugene Brumley Sept. 4, 1954, in Lovington, N. M.
She was a stay-at-home mom for many years, while residing in Lubbock and Abilene. A short time after the family relocated to Texarkana, she spent 17 years in the accounting department at State First National Bank, which later became Regions Bank, in Texarkana, Ark. Mrs. She was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church in Linden.

Julia Jo Stringer, 80, of Queen City, went to be with the Lord Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, in a Texarkana hospital.
She was born Sept. 26, 1933, in Bowie County to R. V. and Clyde Lamb. She was retired from Bowie-Cass Electric Cooperative, was a member of First Baptist Church of Queen City and loved gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Ray Stringer; two sons, Michael Stringer and David Stringer; and a brother, Robert Lamb.
She is survived by three sons, Paul Stringer and wife Toni of Atlanta, Ronald Stringer and wife Carla of Longview and Jody Stringer of Atlanta; eight grandchildren, Jared Stringer and wife Jennifer, Kyli Kaye Caver and husband Chris, Jason Stringer and wife Dawn, Elisa Stringer, Keli Stringer, Kirk Stringer, Michael Stringer and wife Mandi and Mark Stringer and wife Holli; 10 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

He was born July 5, 1944, in Roxie, Miss., to Lonnie and Bessie Corban. He was retired from Stebbins Engineering, a Vietnam army veteran and was a Baptist by faith. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
