CHARLES ARTHUR SWIFT

Charles Arthur Swift, 88, of Linden, passed away Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, at his home in Linden. He was born April 7, 1925, in Clarksville, Ark., to Cyrus Welborn Swift and Vassie Mae Laneer. 
He was a jeweler. He served in the Army and was a WWII Veteran of the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of the VFW, where he is a Past Commander, and a member of the Disabled American Veterans He was member of First Baptist Church of Linden.
His wife Darathy Swift and his parents preceded him in death.
He is survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law, Butch and Gail Swift of South Lake and Danny and Pam Swift of Longview; seven grandchildren, Michelle, Melissa, Bryant, Lisa, Celena, Brent and Tricia; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, from 6 to 8 pm at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home.
Funeral services for will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov.  21, in the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden with Bro. Jackie Stanfield officiating.  Interment will follow in the Linden Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home.
