Atlanta hosted district rival Liberty-Eylau on March 14, and the Lady Rabbs handed the Lady Leopards a 7-4 loss in the process.
The Lady Rabbs had a 7-1 lead after two innings but questionable calls by the officials helped L-E gain three more runs to pull within three runs.
Lanee Oliver improved her record to 8-1 after striking out four batters and got considerable help at the dish from Jaci Cullins and Kourtnie Young who went 3-for-4 and 2-for-3 respectively.
Atlanta (12-1, 1-0) played Pittsburg on Tuesday and will host Paris on Friday, March 21, with action set to begin at 6 p.m.

Donkey basketball rescheduled for Mar. 18

By Angela Guillory
Donkey Basketball game has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, at the Linden-Kildare High School Gym.
Ag Booster President Bryan Baggett said the Donkey Basketball game originally scheduled for this past Tuesday, March 4, had to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.
With the game originally scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. that night, those involved with the organization and promotion of this event were informed only 45 minutes before hand that it would not be able to take place. Baggett said it was at that time they discovered the driver and caretaker of the donkeys was several hours away from Linden.

Atlanta had won many relays over the course of that season but knew that the greatest competition would line up against them at Memorial Stadium in Austin on the University of Texas campus.
