Runners take part in the Music Barn 10K run

Several runners gathered at the Atlanta Sports Complex on March 22, to take part in the Music Barn 10K trail run and four of the athletes were named overall winners.
Nele Morrison was the overall male winner in the 10K run at a time of 51:53; George Escobar was first in the 30-39 age bracket at 1:04.45, followed by Matt Golden at 1:11.45.
Steve Johnson was second overall and first in the 40-49 age bracket with a time of 53.53.
The overall female winner of the 10K race was Jo Thompson who turned in a time of 1:09.46; Leah Golden was first in the 30-39 age bracket at 1:11.46 followed by Heather Lacy at 1:35.01.
Jean Codgill was first in the 40-49 age group with a time of 1:12.52, Amy Bledsoe was second at 1:33.40 and Rayla Dickinson was third at 1:33.41.
Sherry Ford finished first in the 50-59 age group at 1:22.29.
The overall male and female winners of the Half Marathon were Troy Potter and Kim Miller.
Potter turned in a time of 1:48.10 and Miller a time of 2:02.07.
Brandon Ayers placed first in the 30-39 age bracket at 1:54.46 and Kyran Noel was second at 2:05.01.
Christi Potter was first in the 40-49 age group at 2:27.40.
The runners enjoyed a nice day to run on but the grueling cross country course took them through the tall pines and up steep hills.
The money raised was to help the Texas Music Barn build an ADA compliant access ramp.
