Members of Queen City’s FFA competed in the Ag Clays 381 State Trap Shoot at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio on June 9-10.  
QC boasted an All Male and a Mixed Gender team from which competed against 65 teams from across the state.

Michaela Griffin keeps swinging away over summer break

Atlanta senior golfer Michaela Griffin is expanding her golfing skills by taking part in the Ark-La-Tex Junior Golf Tour this summer.
The two-time state qualifier placed second in the girls’ 15-18 age bracket with a total score of 92 on June 12, at the Texarkana Country Club.

It’s rare to find a story out of Texas that covers anything having to do with snow other than the occasional vacation trip to parts of the country that have an abundance of snow.
Queen City and Texas Tech graduate, Austin Nettleton, followed his father’s passion for snowboarding /skiing at the young age of nine and was the driving force behind Texas Tech University’s decision to certify the college’s first ever Snowboard/Skier team.

In our Lady Rabbs’ commemorative section released a few editions ago, we ran the starting nine players that played defense but omitted one of the integral athletes that swung the bat.
Victoria Bergt played defense in the outfield and got in a few at-bats but for the most part, senior slugger Ashley Whistle filled the lineup card throughout the season.
