Visitation was from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan 5, at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home.
Funeral services were Monday, Jan. 6 at Reeder -Davis Chapel in Hughes Springs. Interment followed at Hughes Springs Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home.

Kerry Patrick Grogan, 62, of Atlanta, died Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013. He was born Oct.11, 1951, in Atlanta.
His parents Chessley Grogan and Ellanor Palmer Grogan and his sister Nancy Asimos precede him in death. 
He is survived by his son Samuel Tabler and wife Laura of Tyler; three daughters, Kandace Grinage and husband Jayson of Texarkana, Ark., Kristin Williams and husband Brian of Nash and Kelli Grogan of England; two brothers, Richard Grogan and wife Shelia of Plano and Chessley M. Grogan of Atlanta; and seven grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at Calvary Tabernacle in Queen City.

Fran Hamilton, 82, of Atlanta, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, in an Atlanta nursing home.
She was born Aug. 8, 1931, in Mangham, La., to Frank and Irma Woolsey. She was the retired owner of C and F Grocery in Queen City, The Oyster Bar in Baton Rouge, La., and Little Darlings, in Atlanta. She attended Cornerstone Worship Center and loved working crossword puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Hamilton; her parents; and a sister, Louise Reckenwalt.
She is survived by three daughters, Sheila Pippin of Atlanta, Connie Verrett of Watauga and Beverly Smith of Atlanta; one brother, Charles Woolsey of Conroe; one sister, Dorothy Hicks of Monroe, La.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives.

Henry Berney, 71, of McLeod, went to be with the Lord Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, in a Texarkana, hospital.
He was born June 24, 1942, in Blanchard, La., to Henry Sr. and Thelma Berney. He was a retired welder and pipefitter, was a Nazarene by faith and loved hunting, fishing, farming and was a master tinkerer.
His parents preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry Berney of McLeod; three sons, Shawn Berney of McLeod, Justin Berney of Nacogdoches and Rick Grandmaison of Bivins; three sisters, Mary House of Toledotown, La., Ellen Burge of Bellview, La., and Elaine Berney of Vivian, La.; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at the Hanner Funeral Chapel with Bro. Jim Howard officiating.

James A. White, 84, of Texarkana, Ark., went to be with the Lord Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, in Atlanta.
He was born Jan. 29, 1929, in Shamrock to Claude and Eve White. He was retired from Peterbilt Company, served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of Unity Baptist Church. He loved fishing, traveling and spending time with family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Vernon White; and a sister, Bonnie Wiswall.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Peggie Ross White of Texarkana, Ark.; one son, James White Jr. of Atlanta; one brother, Ronnie White of Atlanta; four sisters, Pauline Corn of Queen City, Lottie Mericle of Queen City, Barbara Crawford of Pineville, Mo., and Janice Magnone of El Capitan, N. M.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Autry Virgil Emmons, 77, of Homer, La., died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013. He served his country in the U. S. Navy.
His father, Virgil Emmons; sister, Beatrice Fleming; and grandson, Daniel Emmons preceded him in death.
He is survived by his mother, Edith Emmons of Liberty; sons; Glenn Emmons and wife Susan of Douglassville, Paul Emmons and wife Sonia of Pasadena and Autry Darrell Emmons of Jacksonville, Ark.; daughters, Patricia Floyd of Dickinson, Abby Johnson of Santa Fe, Texas, and Terri Morrison of Jacksonville, Ark., and Renea Emmons of Houston; sisters, Sharon Green and husband David of Liberty and Sherri Graham and husband Roger of Springfield, La.; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

LEONARD ‘CHUB’ JACKSON

Leonard “Chub” Jackson, 56, of Queen City, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013, in a Texarkana hospital.
He was born March 25, 1957, in Atlanta, to David and Decie Jackson. He worked for Dunlap Timber for 23 years and was a member of Lake Side Baptist Church.  He was a man that loved life.  He loved his family more than anyone could ever know and he loved the Lord. He will be missed by everyone that knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Jackson; and two brothers, Tommy Jackson and Ricky Jackson.
