LEONARD ‘CHUB’ JACKSON

Leonard “Chub” Jackson, 56, of Queen City, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013, in a Texarkana hospital.
He was born March 25, 1957, in Atlanta, to David and Decie Jackson. He worked for Dunlap Timber for 23 years and was a member of Lake Side Baptist Church.  He was a man that loved life.  He loved his family more than anyone could ever know and he loved the Lord. He will be missed by everyone that knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Jackson; and two brothers, Tommy Jackson and Ricky Jackson.
He is survived by his wife, Tina Jackson of Queen City; mother, Decie Powell Jackson of Queen City; one son, David Jackson of Queen City; two daughters, Kaycee Jackson and Makayla Jackson both of Queen City; a sister, Linda Iverson of Lake Tahoe, Calif.; brothers, Danny Jackson and wife Jane of Bright Star, Ark., Donald Jackson, Richard Jackson, Johnny Jackson and Billy Joe Jackson all of Queen City, Texas; a very special niece, Tracy Parker and husband William of Bloomburg; nephews, Daniel Jackson and wife Becca of Atlanta and Dustin Jackson and wife Francina of Bright Star; and a number of other relatives.
Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, at Hanner Funeral Service.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, at the Hanner Funeral Chapel with Bro. James Fore officiating. Interment followed at Courtland Cemetery under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.
