Judy Sartor Pursley, 71, of Atlanta, passed away at St. Michael Hospital, Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013. Born Dec. 11, 1941, in San Antonio, she was raised in Atlanta.
She was a cheerleader for Texarkana College for two years and a former Miss Atlanta. Her passion was traveling and taking pictures in many places of the world. She worked in the film industry for 30 years as a production accountant in many movies.
She was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Oscar Sartor and mother, Mildred Johnson Sartor; grandmother, Mille Mae Sartor (Pete); and a sister, Sandy Sartor.
She is survived by two sons, Samuel Douglas Pursley of Santa Fe, N. M., and Stephen Emile Smith of Houston; one aunt, Wynelle Sartor of Texas City; one sister, Donna Szollosi of Los Angeles, Calif.; one nephew, James Donley of Los Angeles, Calif.; a cousin, Charlotte Alexander Dudley of Queen City; special friends, Carolyn Kennamer Heldt and Sylvia Peacock Bain; and a number of other relatives and friends.
