Chelsea Ivy helps BPCC shutdown Baton Rouge

 She’s also putting pitchers in panic mode from the plate.
Ivy, a 2011 Queen City graduate, recently helped propel the Bossier Parish Lady Cavs to an 11-2 victory over Baton Rouge Community College.

Ibarra impresses in the Big Apple

This time around, Chris took part in the in the New Balance Indoor Nationals in New York City at the Armory Sunday, March 10.
The invitational was only available to 30 of the top high school track and field athletes across America.

Racing to the finish line

Track athlete extraordinaire Chris Ibarra, of Atlanta, bursts ahead of two runners to finish first in his heat in the 800m run at the New Balance Indoor Nationals in New York City. Chris placed second overall, was named an All-American and is currently ranked #4 in the country among 800m runners. See story on page 9.

Hawley tosses gem, ‘Dawgs beat Tigers

Jay Hawley pitched a one hit shutout, and teammate Briley Barnwell hit a grand slam against Linden-Kildare to power Queen City past the Tigers, 12-0, on Tuesday, March 12.

Lady Bulldogs top Tigers

Queen City plated five runs in the first inning and never looked back en-route to an 8-1 district win over rival Linden-Kildare at home on Tuesday, March 12.
Kaitlin Fannin was in beast mode from the mound going the distance for the Lady ‘Dawgs. Fannin only gave up two hits and one run while striking out 10 Lady Tigers.
