Three Tigers on All-District team

District 16-2A All-District basketball selections were made earlier this week, and three Tigers made the list.
Junior standout Jordan Craver made the First Team, sophomore Robbie West was selected to the Second Team and senior Keith Green was named as an honorable mention.

MUMS wins first in DeKalb meet held on March 4

MUMS’s 7th and 8th grade girls’ track teams wrapped up first place trophies in the DeKalb Track Meet on Monday, March 4. 
Queen City won first place in the 7th grade 400m relay, 800m relay and 1600m relay events.

Schools compete in Bill Hines Relays

Linden-Kildare held the 17th annual Bill Hines Relay on Thursday, March 7, with six Cass County schools and several regional teams competing on the new track refurbished over last summer. 
Last year’s relay was rained out, but the competition was ready this year.

Lady ‘Dawgs smack Ponies, 16-4

Keep the wins coming say the Quuen City Lady ‘Dawgs!
Queen City won their first district game of the season after junior Kelsie Benson’s two homerun performance propelled the Lady ‘Dawgs to a convincing 16-4 trouncing of Hughes Springs Tuesday, March 5, at Mustang Park.
The Lady Bulldogs knew going in to the contest  an early win could shake up the district race.
 Head Coach Eric Droddy had his team prepared in all aspects of the game.

On Thursday, Feb. 28, Queen City battled New Boston on a cold windy day, with hopes to blow away any chance of a home team victory.  Unfortunately, the winds would blow in the home team’s favor on this night as the Lady Lions topped Queen City, 6-2.
