L-K Athletic Banquet set

 

Linden-Kildare will hold their annual Athletic Banquet at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 20, in the fellowship hall at Pinecrest Baptist Church. 
Tickets are $5 per person, and include a brisket dinner. Tickets can be purchased from the Linden-Kildare High School Office.

All Linden-Kildare athletes will have their athletic physicals at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, at Marshall High School. 
The buses will leave Mae Luster Stephens Junior High School at 8 a.m.

Atlanta High School athletes claim Area title

Bad weather couldn’t delay the inevitable as Atlanta’s Runnin’ Rabbs track team ran away with the Class 3A’s first Area Track & Field Championship. 
The Rabbs have been strong contenders year in and year out, winning 24 district championships in the last 26 years.

Lady ’Dawgs beat Dragons 5-1

The Lady Bulldogs secured second place in district after defeating Redwater 5-1 on Friday, April 19.
It was Senior Night at the ballpark and seniors Kaitlin Fannin and Khadijah McCauley were given gifts and applause before the action began.

Atlanta girls run at 3A Area meet

The Atlanta Lady Rabbs competed in the Class 3A Area on Thursday, April 18, and Friday, April 19, at Memorial Stadium on the Texas A&M University-Commerce campus.

Fannin K’s 10 in Lady ’Dawgs win

Kaitlin Fannin scattered three hits and had 10 strikeouts for Queen City in the Lady Bulldogs’ 9-2 triumph over Daingerfield on Tuesday, April 16.
The Lady Tigers led 2-1 after the first inning was complete, but QC scored in every inning after the second frame; scoring eight runs combined over that stretch.
Fannin helped her own cause from the batter’s box going 2-for-5 with two RBIs, Alexa Oestmann added two hits of her own and Ashley Belote hit a double in the Lady ’Dawgs 11-hit barrage.

’Dawgs inch by Daingerfield 5-4

Queen City took a 5-2 lead into the final inning against Daingerfield on Tuesday, April 16, and held off the Tigers’ late inning rally to secure a 5-4 win in district action.

Linden track athlete heading to regionals
