L-K Alumni will conduct a 3-on-3 basketball tourney

Linden-Kildare Alumni will gather for a 3-on-3 basketball tournament set to begin at 7 a.m. Saturday, June 29, at the L-K High School gymnasium.
The deadline for registration is this Saturday, June 15, and any team that doesn’t meet the deadline will be considered a “Walk-in” and will be last in the addition of teams put on the tournament bracket.

Kick-Start Kids close out a successful first year

The Kick-Start Kids program held their end of the year Belt Ceremony in the gymnasium at Mae Luster Stephens Junior High School on May 30, for students that excelled in the program in its first year and moved up in ranks due to great work ethic and commitment to the program. 
Instructor Jeremy McQuivey was quite proud of how well the children responded to the program and what it had to offer.

McLeod ISD players named to All-District team

After a successful regular season and a playoff appearance into the second round, McLeod’s baseball team had nine players named to the All-District list.

Linden-Kildare CISD honors senior athletes

Linden-Kildare coaches, administrators, board members and families gathered to honor L-K’s senior athletes on Monday, May 20.
Pinecrest Baptist Church in Linden provided the room to hold the banquet.

Love leaps to state competition on May 10

Linden-Kildare junior track star Shardai Love will be making her first appearance at the State track meet this weekend and will be soaring for gold in the long jump competition on Friday, May 10.

Longhorns win double-header against Roxton in playoff games

After a 13-1 loss to Roxton in the first round of the Class 1A baseball playoffs on Thursday, May 2, McLeod put together an amazing show and beat the Lions 7-6 and 10-5 in a double-header on Friday, May 3.
In game two McLeod scored first in the top of inning one, but found the game tied after the Lions scored one of their own in the bottom half of the first. Read more in our e-edition:
