Lady Rabbs shutout L-E
Atlanta junior flamethrower Lanee Oliver tossed a one-hitter and struck out 10 as the Lady Rabbs slipped by Liberty-Eylau 1-0 in a district contest last Saturday. 
Before the game senior Jaci Cullins was honored with gifts on Senior Night.

L-K Tigers, Lady Tigers fall to Hughes Springs

 A four-run first inning proved too much for the L-K Tigers (7-5) as they lost to Hughes Springs 4-3 on April 16.
Curt Wells, who look the loss for L-K, pitched a complete game of one-hit ball while striking out six.

Blake Burns tosses two-hit shutout en route to 10-0 win

L-K won the Battle of the Tigers 10-0 on the strength of Blake Burns’ two-hit shutout.
Burns pitched six innings, striking out eight. He walked two.

Rabbs, Lady Rabbs tangle with North Lamar, Paris

Atlanta High’s softball team opened the game with three runs in the first inning en route to a 5-3 win over the Pantherettes.
Justonni Farmer hit two singles and a triple and senior Jaci Cullins popped two singles of her own.

Queen City competes in district track meet

The Queen City High track and field teams competed in the District 16-3A meet, held April 15 in Mt. Vernon.
 
Girls results
Shanice Booth finished fourth in the 100m dash, with a time of 13.33. In the 200m dash, Tamera Neal came in sixth, with a 29.21.

14th annual Foundation golf tourney successful

The 14th Annual CHRISTUS St. Michael Atlanta Foundation’s Golf Tournament was held on Wednesday, April 8, at the Indian Hills Country Club. 
Fifteen teams competed in morning and afternoon tee times for prize spots in three different flights.

Bloomburg High School student and manager deluxe Josh Allison was recently named the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Student Assistant of the Year.

Runnin’ Rabbs’ boys win district, girls & JV boys 2nd

Last year Liberty-Eylau’s boys and girls track programs won district titles and looked to defend those on April 15 at the District 15-4A track and field championships hosted by Atlanta at Rabbit Stadium.
The Rabbs’ varsity boys’ team ran away with the title as they outdistanced L-E 174 to 146 to win the crown.

Lady Rabbs Clinch Two
Atlanta’s varsity softball team won a couple of key district matches recently.
On April 3, the Lady Rabbs rebounded from an unusually early 3-0 deficit to defeat Pleasant Grove 6-3 in a tough District 15-4A contest.

Atlanta's Area Track meet has been moved from Commerce to Bullard for Thursday, April 23.
