Linden All-Stars win Ozone North regional title

Linden’s 12U All-Stars swept through district play undefeated during the last week of June and recently won the Texas Ozone North Regional Tournament at Spring Lake Park in Texarkana in games played July 11-13. 
In three district games Linden outscored the opposition 40-6 and out-hit their opponents 31-4.

Cass County Bank receives recognition for support of Queen City Player of Week and athletic program

Queen City AD and new head football coach Justin Burk presented Cass County Bank with two plaques on July 8, for the bank’s unwavering support of Bulldog athletics in the form of Player of the Week.

Linden All-Stars sweep through district undefeated

HOOKS - Linden’s 11-12 year old All-Stars swept through three games of district play from June 26 through June 28, claiming the championship in the process.
In those three games the Linden All-Stars outscored the opposition 40-6 and out-hit their opponents 31-4.

ATHENS—Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s draft catfish management plan is now available for public review and comment.
The document details the department’s overall plans for expanding and enhancing the state’s second-most popular fishery.

Water body records for Lake Wright Patman

In 2006 Thomas Geraci set a record at Lake Wright Patman after snagging a 25 inch, 7.61 pound Hybrid Striped Bass using rattletrap lure.
Earlier that same year junior angler Zach Marsh reeled in a .93, 13.75 inch Freshwater Drum using doughbait.

TPWD sports new plates

AUSTIN— The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is re-introducing its largemouth bass conservation license plate with a new graphic design. 
Artwork on the new plate depicting a jumping bass chasing a lure was created by well-known wildlife artist Clemente Guzman.

Texas 7-on-7 first to mandate ‘Unequal Protection’
