Linden-Kildare Tigers slay Redwater Dragons, 24-20

REDWATER — Stellar play by Linden-Kildare’s defense late in the fourth quarter earned the team their first win of the season, a 24-20 victory over Redwater at Dragon Stadium Friday night.
With 3:13 left to play in the game, the Tigers found themselves down 20-18. 
Kicking off to Redwater, Cristian Montano booted the ball 19-yards with no return.

Linden-Kildare Lady Tigers face a barrage of teams leading up to district

Linden-Kildare’s varsity volleyball squad traveled to DeKalb on Sept. 4, for a battle with the Lady Bears.
DeKalb won in straight sets by scores of 25-15, 25-21 and 25-18.

Pleasant Grove Hawks overpower Tigers, 50-19

LINDEN—The Linden-Kildare Tigers’ (0-3) strategy of run the ball, run the ball, then run again—and repeat, failed to translate into a win Friday night, as they lost to the Pleasant Grove  Hawks 50-19.
As a team, the Tigers had 54 carries for 314 yards. Curt Wells and Marcus Jones combined for two pass attempts for a total of -1 yards.

Rabbs fall to Pirates, 40-14, on Homecoming night

Atlanta celebrated Homecoming this past Friday night, but the festive atmosphere turned eerily quiet as the Rabbits fell to Pittsburg, 40-14.
Majory Herron and Olivia Sheets were named Homecoming king and queen, but the Pirates stole the show as they built a commanding 33-0 halftime lead after capitalizing on three lost fumbles and a few snaps over the head of the quarterback to take seal the 26-point victory.

Bulldogs start strong, fall to Redwater, 29-8

The Queen City Bulldogs traveled to Redwater to take on the Dragons last Friday night in the third game of the season for both teams, and both teams entered the contest looking for their first victory of the season.  
Much like the previous game for the Bulldogs, Queen City started strong on offense but was unable to find their way the rest of the game as the Dragons went on to claim a 29-8 victory.

Rabbs hop by Daingerfield in pre-district action, 48-21

Atlanta visited Daingerfield on Sept. 12, for the KYKX “Game of the Week” and thoroughly helped the Tigers break in their new artificial field with a 48-21 win.
It wasn’t an easy task for Atlanta as the Tigers played stout defense in the first half and scrappy offense to keep the score at 28-21 in favor of Atlanta at halftime, but the Rabbs went on a 20-0 scoring attack in the second half to seal the 27-point victory and boost their season record to 2-1.

Implementing a successful routine for younger athletes who will carry that knowledge with them until they hit the varsity level can have positive results.
