Atlanta XC
Atlanta’s cross country program enjoyed some success this season after the varsity girls placed fourth and the varsity boys sealed third place at the district meet in North Lamar.
The boys’ team moved on to regionals in Arlington along with Hannah Wicks who finished in the top 10 at district for the ladies.

Rabbits end season with 24-15 loss to Gilmer

Atlanta played a familiar foe in the Class 4A Division II, Region II quarterfinal game last Friday night, and unfortunately the season ended the way it has for the past four out of five years as the Rabbits bowed out of the playoffs after a 24-15 loss to the Gilmer Buckeyes.
This year seemed different though. After the loss to Center in district play, Atlanta reeled off five consecutive wins and outscored their opponents 238-60 in dominating fashion.

The Queen City Bulldogs were at home last Tuesday night as they took on the Redwater Dragons. 
It was a dominant performance for Queen City as they gradually built their lead after each quarter.

Queen City Bulldogs garner All-District honors

District 7-3A, Division 2 All-District honors were released recently and the list is littered with Queen City Bulldog players.
Senior running back Malik Wilburn earned First Team honors, sophomore Dylan Savage received Offensive Lineman First Team honors and senior Dakota Carver took home First Team Kick Returner honors.

L-K’s KickStart Kids program competes in Irving

Linden-Kildare’s KickStart Kids program recently traveled to Irving to take part in the KickStart Kids Fall Qualifier which was held at Barbara Bush Middle School on Nov. 17.
Students from Mae Luster Stephens Junior High and L-K Elementary School competed against middle schools from Dallas and the surrounding areas.

Burns signs to play baseball at Crowley’s Ridge College

LINDEN—L-K’s Blake Burns will soon trade the blue and white of Linden-Kildare for the green and white of Crowley’s Ridge College.
On Nov. 18, Burns signed a scholarship agreement to play baseball for the Pioneers.

Rabbs are Offically on the Road

The Atlanta Rabbs are officially on the road to Pine Tree Stadium in Longview. The Rabbits are in State Quarter Finals for the second year and are to face off against the Gilmer buckeyes. Kick off is at 7:30 p.m.

QC JV beats Hooks
 
On Nov. 13, Queen City’s junior varsity basketball squad defeated Hooks’ JV 27-18. The Lady Bulldogs held a slight 16-12 lead at the break, but an 11-6 second half run put the game away for QC.
In the contest QC received point contributions from Kailee Stringer, Colleen Kilgore, Alijah Chischilly, Kyeisha Harrison and Kayannah Meachem.

Rabbits thump Coldspring Trojans, 41-0, in Area bout

Atlanta and Coldspring-Oakhurst entered the Area round with identical 7-4 records on a blustery, cold afternoon in Athens.
The Rabbits rolled into the Regional round with a resounding 41-0 stomping of the Trojans.
