Lincoln Earns All-American Status in Discus at NCAA Championship Meet

Atlanta Alum Jared Lincoln graduated from Hendrix College in Conway, Ark., May 13, with a degree in accounting and plans to enroll at Hendrix to complete his Master’s Degree in the fall. Lincoln was a four-time Southern Athletic Association (SAA) champion in the discus, earning First Team All-Conference honors all four years. 
Lincoln is also a former member of the Texarkana Trailblazers Track Club. 
He broke the school record (Hendrix) with a discus throw of 49.99 meters (164 ft.) and qualified for the 2017 NCAA National Championships in Geneva, Ohio. 
Licoln ended his career as an All-American by placing eighth in the discus throw at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships May 24. 
He made All-Region in 2016 and was a two-time SAA Field Athlete of the Week. 
In football, Lincoln was a two-time All-SAA Honorable Mention and made the D3football.com National Team of the Week as an offensive lineman. 
He helped the Warriors to a 2015 conference championship, NCAA playoff berth and was on the line that made Hendrix a national statistic champion with 600 yards of total offense per game.

Lincoln is the son of Lewis and Pamela Lincoln of Atlanta.
