AES third graders grow competition cabbage

Each year, Bonnie Farms in Union Springs, Al. selects one third grade student from each state for a thousand dollar scholarship.
Students Anna Davis, Braylie Durmon, Logan Sanders, Kyle Gross and Tristen Kennedy, were selected by their homeroom teachers to represent the Atlanta Elementary School third grade classes in the competition between all third graders across the state of Texas.
The one Texas state winner along with one student winner from each of the other states receives the scholarship.
All students in each third grade across the state are given the opportunity to grow a competition cabbage.
The pictured students were selected as the winners in their respective third grade homerooms. These student submission forms and pictures of their cabbages were sent to Bonnie Farms for judging later in the year.
