Cass County Office of the Texas AgriLife Extension Service will host a come-and-go retirement reception for Norman Gene Bobo from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 27.
The reception will be held in the Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace courtroom on the second floor of the Justice Center Building, 601 Highway 8 N. in Linden.
Presentations will be made at 3 p.m.

Pleasant Hill Quilting Club members do more than just quilt.
Organized in 2004, the group was initially formed to help support Pleasant Hill Center, a historical Rosenwald School. As time went by, they found many projects and individuals who needed a little warmth and inspiration. The group donates lap quilts to cancer patients and others that maybe ailing or recovering from a medical condition. In 1925 education was sometimes hard to come by in rural Texas. Members of small communities such as Pleasant Hill did what they could to encourage both young and old to learn to read.
