The Jason Helms Band (JHB) owned the stage Saturday night. The show benefited the Percy Johnson Burn Foundation in Shreveport and took place at Auntie Skinners during the Outlaws National Car Show in Jefferson, Texas. The band recently named Live Music Band of the year by the Texas Music Awards and Academy of Texas Music, Inc. may have a couple “hometown heroes” of their own. They are looking forward to even more success with the upcoming release of their second album. Students at Linden-Kildare Elementary have been learning positive ways to solve minor conflicts using ideas from Kelso’s Choice Conflict Management Skills program.
