Jack Carter, Justice of the Sixth Court of Appeals of Texas located in Texarkana, announced today that he will retire from the judiciary at the end of his current term on December 31, 2014. Justice Carter has served as a judge since 1981 when he was appointed as District Judge of the Fifth Judicial District Court of Texas serving Bowie and Cass Counties. There are three churches in Kildare at the present time. Two of the churches join in services due to low attendance. There were six churches in Kildare in the 1940’s. The “shared services” began with four of the six churches. On the first Sunday services were held at St. John’s Baptist Church. On the second Sunday services were held at New Zion Methodist Church.
