Singing has always been in her life, and Julia Beers is closer and closer to cutting albums. She has been singing at various venues around the East Texas area. The 14-year-old, and soon to be a freshman at Hughes Springs High School, started singing when she was 5 years old and started recording when she was 12, according to her father, Greg Beers. The Linden Volunteer Fire Department (LVFD) is hosting a water fun day for children Saturday at the Linden City Park.
There will be food, a dunking booth where anyone can dunk a firefighter of their choice, a water bounce house, and of course water misters from the deck guns. The community is encouraged to come on out and enjoy.
All 10 Linden-Kildare FFA officers attended the FFA state convention in Dallas earlier in July.
All ten officers, Bryson Baggett, Patrick Littlejohn, Aaron Harp, James Boney, Alex Hendrix, Bryan Power, Cameron Palmer, Levi Houston, Tanner Mitchell and Mary Stanford, attended the 85th annual Texas FFA convention in Dallas, Texas held July 8-12.
