L-K JH Tigers fall short to Waskom

By Tim Emmons
Linden-Kildare’s eighth grade team turned up the heat on Waskom last Thursday night in a furious rally but fell short and lost the contest 22-18.
Home field advantage almost worked for the young Tigers who had opportunities to overcome the Wildcats’ attack. L-K fell behind early 14-0 before a quick scoring strike from Marty Johnson to Jakevian Rose put the Tigers on the board with about 1:20 to go before half time.

RABBS WIN BIG

By Tim Emmons
Atlanta spoiled Mt. Pleasant’s Homecoming night by upending the high-scoring Tigers 32-14 last Friday evening.
You could pick and choose who had the more impressive night between players, but I think an equal share must be accredited to the coaching staff and players alike.
After letting the Gladewater game slip through their fingers, the Rabbs displayed a powerful prowess on both sides of the ball to shut down Mt. Pleasant.  Read more and see the pictures in our e-edition:  http://www.etypeservices.com/SWF/LocalUser/Atlanta1//Magazine35824/Full/index.aspx?id=35824
