Atlanta Preview: Liberty-Eylau

The Atlanta Rabbits are 2-1 in district and on a roll of momentum heading into this weekend’s match up against rival Liberty-Eylau.

L-K Preview: Paul Pewitt

Linden-Kildare will be at home to celebrate Senior Night this Friday, Nov. 1, and take on the Paul Pewitt Brahmas in district action.

AMS teams post victories over NL

Atlanta’s eighth grade A and B teams battled district foe North Lamar last week and both teams came away with wins over the Panthers. 
The A team won 20-16 behind stout offensive and defensive stands by the Rabbs.

L-K Junior Lady Tigers claim wins over Pewitt

Linden-Kildare’s seventh and eighth grade Lady Tigers competed well against Paul Pewitt recently.
The seventh grade won in three sets, 25-17, 21-25 and 25-20, and the eighth grade team dominated on the court with a two set win over the Lady Brahmas, 25-22 and 26-24.

Freshmen Rabbs bounce NL, 32-16 in Thursday game

Atlanta’s freshman football squad scored three touchdowns in the second half to pull off a 32-16 victory over the North Lamar Panthers on Oct. 24.

Linden-Kildare eighth grade team battles Mustangs

Linden-Kildare’s eighth grade team battled county rival Hughes Springs recently, but fell to the Mustangs 44-12.  
L-K scored their first touchdown in the first quarter when Marty Johnson passed to Jakevian Rose for the score.  
That score was set up after Johnson had hit Traccer Henry on a pass for a long gain. 
The Tigers scored again as time expired in the game when Johnson hit Dalton Alford with a pass and he broke four tackles on his way to the end zone.

Rabbs dominate PG, 36-12

Jawan King had two 5-yard rushing touchdowns and Andrew Samples added a 45-yard rushing touchdown as Atlanta’s 7th grade football team defeated Pleasant Grove 36-12 Oct. 17.

Rabbs’ 7th grade team edges North Lamar, 12-6

Atlanta’s 7th grade football team won a hard fought battle against North Lamar, 12-6 on Oct. 22, bringing their record to 3-0 in district play.

Annual Big Buck Contest underway

Jaynes Farm and Feed Store is currently holding the annual Ronnie Burns Big Buck Contest for adult and youth hunters across Cass County.
The rules are as follows: the deer must be killed in Cass County only, a whole deer must be brought in with proper tags and legal buck limit of at least 13 inch spread and the deer must be brought in by person that shot the deer.
