Linden-Kildare Lady Tigers play in Hardwood Classic

The L-K Lady Tigers traveled to Miller Grove and Saltillo High Schools last weekend to play in the Hopkins County Hardwood Classic.  The tournament included a total of 28 teams from several counties.  
After dropping the first two games to Gateway Charter Academy and Mount Pleasant Chapel Hill, the Lady Tigers won three straight games against A Plus Academy, Como-Pickton and Miller Grove to finish the tournament with a record of 3-2.   Read more in our e-edition:  http://www.etypeservices.com/SWF/LocalUser/Casscounty1//Magazine39647/Full/index.aspx?id=39647

7th grade Rabbs edge out Pittsburg for 8-6 win

Atlanta’s seventh grade football team squeaked by Pittsburg 8-6 at home on Nov. 7, and ends their campaign at 5-2 with a 4-1 district mark.
The first half ended with a score of 0-0 due to big defensive showings on both sides.

Lady Bulldogs beat Commerce, pound Alba-Golden

Queen City’s volleyball team has been on a tear since taking out Hughes Springs for the co-championship a few weeks back.

QCHS parade

Queen City’s varsity football players ride atop a fire engine in the parade set before the last home game on Nov. 8. The Bulldogs defeated Redwater later that evening to seal up a playoff berth for the first time in 12 years. 1st State trip for Lambeth

McLeod’s Bradley Lambeth placed fifth at the Region III Meet on Nov. 2, and placed 36th at the state meet on Nov. 9. Bradley is just in his sophomore year and has run in the regional race two years straight.

L-K Tigers defeat Ore City, 28-27

The Linden-Kildare Tigers traveled to Ore City this past Friday for their final game of the season.  
L-K performed well offensively and came up with critical defensive stops throughout the game that propelled them to a 28-27 victory.  
In the first quarter, the Tigers got off to a fast start on offense as Nay’Kerian Walker was the driving force behind the offensive series.

Lady Tigers end year in Bi-District

Linden-Kildare had its share of ups and downs this season but by the end of district play, the Lady Tigers had clawed their way into third place and a playoff spot.

Bi-District Preview: Emory-Rains

Atlanta is fresh off of a 49-14 shellacking of district foe Pittsburg and drew Emory Rains out of District 14-3A.
The two teams will meet at Mt. Pleasant High School for this Bi-District showdown.

Linden Dodgers run table, win DETBA World Series

Linden’s 8U fall ball select team participated in the Deep East Texas Baseball Association (DETBA) tourney in Marshall recently and swept their way through a tough bracket to win the World Series crown. Rabbs sink Pirates, 49-14, secure third place in district

Dominance is too small a word to describe what Atlanta did to Pittsburg at Atlanta Rabbit Stadium last Friday night.
The Rabbs were in top form from beginning to end and scored touchdowns in each area of the game in a 49-14 thumping of the Pirates.
