The Linden-Kildare (1-7, 1-2) put in their best performance of the year when they needed it, beating rival Queen City (1-7, 0-3) 34-28 in what has become billed as the Cass County Clash.
The Tigers struck first and struck hard. Queen City won the coin toss and deferred to the second half. In hindsight this might have been a mistake.

After leading for most of the game, a touchdown with 19 seconds left in the game buried the Tigers’ (0-7,0-2) hopes for a Homecoming victory as they lost to the DeKalb Bears (2-5, 1-1) 16-14 Friday night.

The loss was especially difficult for fans who witnessed some unusual activity from the officials and some questionable calls that went against the Tigers late in the game which may have cost Linden-Kildare the game.
