New hours of operation announced for Douglassville, Marietta post offices

Reduced hours of operation at the Douglassville and Marietta post offices will go into effect Saturday.
Each office will be open from 8 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday.
After hours, patrons may continue to access post office boxes.

Annual coon hunt benefits Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

The Four States Cystic Fibrosis Benefit Coon Hunters Association held its 29th annual coon hunt in Cass County and raised $13,477 to help with research for this fatal disease. Cystic fibrosis is an inherited disease passed down only if both parents carry the gene.

Wildflower Trails Festival around the corner

Organizers say the 43rd Annual Linden Wildflower Trails of Texas promises flowers, fun, food, arts and crafts, and entertainment to suit every taste.

This year’s festival is set for Friday and Saturday, April 26-27. Precluding the event is the Little Miss Wildflower Trails Pageant on Saturday, March 30.
