W. Temple Webber Cancer Center at CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System will present the 2013 Women’s Breast Health Exhibition on Saturday, March 23.

Mitchell awarded for history project

Erin Mitchell was named as the winner of the Best Overall Individual Project in the state in the Friends of the Governor’s Mansion Contest.

Buzbee appointed to TAMU Board of Regents

Gov. Rick Perry has appointed three members to the Texas A&M University Board of Regents for terms to expire Feb. 1, 2019.
Queen City High School graduate Tony Buzbee of Friendswood is an attorney in private practice, and a former adjunct professor at the University of Houston Law Center. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, and a board member of the Boy Scouts of America Bay Area Council, Jesse Tree and Hometown Bank Board of Directors.

Relay For Life teams invited to register for April 13 event

Teams are still welcomed to join this year’s Cass County’s American Cancer Society Relay For Life, set from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at Linden-Kildare High School’s Jack Hetherington Stadium. The 12-hour event will be filled with exciting activities and entertainment.
