Does Our Church Have Children’s Church?

By Bryan Baggett
Pinecrest Baptist Church
Here’s a conversation for you:
“Do you have children’s church at your church?” Of course we do. Every Sunday.
“What takes place in your children’s church?” A lot of singing, some praying, reading of Scripture, giving, and of course teaching and preaching.
“That sounds like a lot of fun for the kids. Would I as a parent be allowed to watch them, or visit?” Of course you would. In fact, we highly encourage all our adults to attend these services with the children. It’s Time to Change Course

by Jackie Stanfield
Pastor First Baptist Church of Linden
If a plane that is flying a long distance is only a degree or two off course, it will miss its destination by hundreds of miles. Our lives are very similar. If we are not staying on course through the “moral compass” that God gives us by His Spirit, we are going to veer off course by a long shot.  Read more in our e-edition: http://www.etypeservices.com/SWF/LocalUser/Casscounty1//Magazine29320/Full/index.aspx?id=29320

Fear is a liar

By Robin Aaron
Managing Editor
It was a moment that I shuddered inside. My reality suddenly shifted and I found myself thinking that I really didn’t hear what I thought I heard.
After returning home from the office to check on my mom who had just undergone her first chemotherapy treatment, I found myself discussing a pamphlet with her that she’d received from the doctor.

Kildare Post Office

By Oreta Wright

Several years ago, the Kildare Garden Group was presented with a marker from the Department of Agriculture.  The Cass County Sun documented the presentation with all members present. God and miracles

By James McMillan
Linden United Methodist Church
One of the significant parts of Jesus’ earthly ministry was healing the sick that were brought to him and that he encountered. He was always moved with compassion at the sight of sickness.
Most of the people that Jesus healed were just ordinary people. They were not the rich and famous or the powerful. They were just ordinary, everyday folks doing the best they could.

By David J Keener

This message stems from a thorough examination of the various storms that many of us have been through and how we made it through.

Center Hill FD making improvements each year

By Oreta Wright
Country Living Reporter
The Center Hill Fire Department had a very limited beginning but has consistently improved year by year. It was formed in 1990 by Johnny Duncan.
The land for the building was donated by J.B and Georgia Keller and the Texas Forest Service donated the first truck. The first officers were Johnny Duncan, chief; Georgia Keller, asst. chief; and Frank Berry, secretary/treasurer.  Read more in our e-edition: http://www.etypeservices.com/SWF/LocalUser/Casscounty1//Magazine25793/Full/index.aspx?id=25793
