Schultz Resigns!!! L-K AD takes post with district foe

From Staff Reports

Former Linden-Kildare AD Gary Schultz has resigned from his position at L-KHS and will take the same position at Honey Grove ISD.

Rumors and words spread throughout the area like wildfire Monday concerning his leaving, but his resignation letter posted on Smoaky.com that same day confirmed what few knew and many wanted to know.

The very next day on Mar. 1, the open AD position was posted on the High School Football America website although it was marked for Feb. 29.

The letter posted Feb. 29 on Smoaky.com reads as follows:

Gary Schultz has resigned as AD/HC at Linden-Kildare to become the AD/HC at Honey Grove.

Per David Smoak - Coach Schultz has done a remarkable job of rebuilding everywhere he's been, including Rivercrest, Alba-Golden, Thrall, Colby, Kansas, L-K and now Honey Grove.
