Local timber industry wins in appeals case

Ward Timber celebrating after one victory in long fight for region’s water rights

The 11th District of Texas Court of Appeals issued its ruling May 23 in the case of Texas Water Development Board (TWDB), versus a number of this region’s land owners, including Ward Timber, LTD. and Ward Timber Holdings. 
The court affirmed an earlier district court ruling that an interregional conflict does exist between two regions that are now part of the Texas water plan and that this conflict must be addressed before the state moves forward with its plans.  http://www.etypeservices.com/SWF/LocalUser/Atlanta1//Magazine28109/Full/index.aspx?id=28109
