David Shannon Young, 43 of Bivins, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017.
He was born April 21, 1973, in Shreveport, La., but lived in the Bivins area for the past three years after moving from Mooringsport, La. He attended Cornerstone Assembly of God Church in Atlanta. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa Gayle Young; his parents, Yvonne Brown and David and Sandra Young; his children, Stephanie Christian and husband Randy, Sarah May and husband Travis, Kristan Young and fiancé Bradley, Taylor Ulmer and Nathan Morris, Breanna Young and Devin Ulmer; his brothers, Steven Braggs and Rowdy Braggs; his sisters, Heather Young and Ashley Collins and Michell Starr and Kim Watson; his grandchildren, Georgia May, Bowen Timon and Rnys May; and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and lots of friends.
Memorial services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 22, at Cornerstone Assembly of God Church under the direction of Gorsulowsky Funeral Home of Vivian, La.
