HOMETOWN HERO AWARD

From Staff Reports

The Linden-Kildare Board of Trustees quarterly selects an outstanding member of the community who has contributed through his or her works to the improvement of the community and the school district.
They bestow upon that outstanding person their Hometown Hero.
On Dec. 20, Superintendent Trevor Rodgers presented the Hometown Hero award to Winston Sullivan of Sullivan Companies.
“We are thankful for Mr. Sullivan and Sullivan Companies for all that they have done to support our school and our community and it is a great honor that we call him our next Home Town Hero.” Rodgers said.
Sullivan and his family moved to Linden in 1970. Sullivan and his wife Judy have two children, Marlon Sullivan and Jina Sullivan-Hamm who are both Linden-Kildare graduates.
Marlon and Jina are also partners with Winston in the family business Sullivan Companies.
Winston Sullivan also has two grandchildren, Logan and Reagan who currently attend Linden-Kildare Elementary School.
Sullivan Companies have played a vital role in the Linden-Kildare community over the years because they have contributed many man-hours, supplies and materials to different projects throughout the Linden-Kildare area.
The Sullivan’s have most recently helped the schools by building a new concession and restroom facility for our baseball team. They are currently building a similar structure for the girls’ softball field.
Winston has served on a wide range of boards, committees, and teams that have focused on community and civic improvements.
The Sullivan families are also active members of the Linden United Methodist Church.
