LINDEN—With the outside temperatures cooling, the Linden Police Department is finding that calls have also cooled off. In September they had 73 calls for service, 66 calls fewer than the previ­ous month. 
Last month, officers made 80 traffic contacts with four accidents re­ported. Two city ordi­nance letters were written. 
LPD also closed 10 cas­es and opened 19 cases. 
There was one citation for drug paraphernalia. 
Criminal trespassing cases occurred at Crumps and at 1008 Nelson. 
A burglary of building occurred at 1707 US Hwy 59 South. A habitat locat­ed at 810 S. Hamilton was burglarized. Thefts were reported at Crumps and at 101 East Frazier. An as­sault was also reported at 310 Boone St. 
Officers also made six arrests. Each of those ar­rested were booked into Cass County Sheriff ’s Of­fice. 
On Sept. 24 Tristan Brown, 21, of Linden was arrested for assault bodily injury. 
On Sept. 25 Jerramy Burns, 32, of Anna, Texas was arrested for posses­sion of marijuana <2 oz. 
On Sept. 29 Lacorius Heard, 20, of Atlanta was arrested for sexual assault of a child. On the follow­ing day he was arrested for assault bodily injury. 
On Sept. 29 Tamara Jackson, 23, of Linden was arrested for assault bodily injury date/family/ house.
