LINDEN—The City of Linden has launched its newest marketing tool—a new dedicated city website.
The new website can be located at lindentexas.org. Previously city information was available through links in the Linden Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) website.
The site’s homepage features the Linden 2025 Vision and Linden 2025 Mission, as well navigation links to additional sites.
Side buttons will take visitors to the various city departments such as City Hall, Public Works and Police. There is also information about the LEDC. In the “City Files” there are links to the animal and golf cart ordinances.
A generic “Links” tab offers visitors links to other local websites including the Cass County Sun, Linden-Kildare CISD, Music City Texas, Cass County, the Linden Healthcare Center, Texas Music Barn and Linden Life Center.
The “Helpful Info” tab acts as a type of FAQ (frequently asked questions) section with answers to questions such as “Do I Need a Garage Sale Permit,”  “Where Can I Get My Driver’s License in Linden” and “How Do I Request Utility Service.”
The website also features a calendar of upcoming events.
City Administrator Bob Swisher said that the website is a work in progress and that they intend to add city council meeting agendas on it in the near future. He said that he also welcomes comments from the public on what they would like to see on the site.
