Sasser named Fine Arts Queen

The Fine Arts Club presented its 36th Annual “Little Miss Fine Arts Revue” on April 30. There were five contestants vying for Little Miss Fine Arts Queen. 2015 Fine Arts queen Miss Jana Clarke crowned the new 2016 Fine Arts Queen Little Miss Dori Sasser.
Dori is seven years old , she’s in the second grade at J. K. Hileman Elementary School.  Her parents are Marcus and Shalunda Sasser. She likes playing softball, playing the piano, writing, reading and cheering. Her club sponsors were Patricia Collins and Wanda Jordan.
Little Miss Precious Johnson, was third runner-up. Her escort: was Caleb King. Club sponsors were Gwendolyn Anderson and Velma King. Little Miss Carmisia Cook was second-runner up. Her escort was Joseph Johnson. Club sponsors were Georgia Lawson and Paula Frazier. 
Little Miss Ja’Niyia Armstrong was first runner-up. Her escort was Ja’Cameron Armstrong.  Club sponsors were Raphaelle Huckaby and Cynthia Moore.
Some of the proceeds raised,  provided four one $1,000 scholarships to four students; two from Atlanta High, one from Queen City High, and one from Linden-Kildare High. 
Other proceeds will help throughout the community.
“On behalf of The Fine Arts Club Members, we would like to say thank you to all of our contestants and their parents, family and friends for their hard work and dedication, for allowing their children to participate in the pageant, and making it a success,” President Mrs. Wanda Jordan, of the Fine Arts Club, said.
