Facelift signals new era at Citizens Journal
You have probably noticed that this issue looks different from those in past.
The staff of the Citizens Journal has been working extra hard in the past couple of weeks to roll out a redesign that signifies a new era in its storied history.
“We wanted to create a more eye-pleasing and readable newspaper with an emphasis on highlighting the citizenry of the communities we cover,” Publisher Randy Grider said. “We have added new elements like our Good Morning spotlight, Kids’ Weather drawings and Meet Your Neighbor. While still providing the local news and sports coverage you have come to expect, we will also feature more human interest stories.”
Grider said he wants the readers to feel like they have a greater vested interest in the paper and welcomes suggestions for stories and submissions like Letters to the Editor.
“We also hope readers will feel compelled to mark the cherished moments of their lives in the paper – birth announcements, engagements, weddings and similar landmark events,” Grider said.
Grider added readers can expect additional changes in the coming weeks as the staff fine-tunes its efforts to provide the readers and advertisers with the best newspaper possible.
