Queen City High School's Homecoming celebration
Queen City High School's Homecoming celebration will be the week of Oct. 12-16. The theme for this year's homecoming festivities is "There's No Place Like Homecoming".
Each day the high school students will be participating in dress up days that go along with the theme. The themes are: Tuesday- "Twister Tuesday-" Wacky Day, Wednesday- "Which Witch is Which-" Twin Day, Thursday- "Lions, Tigers, and Bulldogs, Oh My-" Dress like an animal, Friday-"Oz the Great and Powerful-" Dress like Kings and Queens and wear gold and bling.
On Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 5:30 p.m., there will be hot dog supper provided by Cass County Bank with a community wide church service and bonfire to follow. Thursday, Oct. 15, the seventh, eighth and junior varsity football teams will travel to Paul-Pewitt to play the Brahmas.
At 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 16, the Homecoming parade will begin. The parade will begin at the First Baptist Church of QC, go through the middle school, elementary and will end at the high school.
The homecoming pep rally will begin Friday afternoon at 2:45 p.m. at Smith-Wall Stadium. Homecoming ceremonies will begin at 6:45 p.m. Friday evening. We are looking forward to these festivities and welcoming back alumni, family and friends.
