Police puzzled over fatal accident
Atlanta PD seeking anyone who witnessed accident at Emma Lena Way

The Atlanta Police Department is seeking information or eyewitnesses following a fatal wreck this morning (Tuesday, July 28) at the intersection of Loop 59 and Emma Lena Way.
Officers are seeking information from anyone who may have witnessed the crash that left one woman dead and another injured. Please call Sgt. Steve Cromeans or Lt. Allen Williams if you or someone you know may have additional information at 903-796-7973.
The accident occurred Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at approximately 9:45 a.m.
Atlanta Police Department responded to a vehicle crash at the intersection US -59 and Emma Lena Way in Atlanta. This is the intersection between Walmart Supercenter and McDonald's Restaraunt.
Upon arrival it was determined that two vehicles were involved.
These included a 2008 Toyota RAV4, driven by Maygan Grace Roberson, age 25 of Linden, which was traveling North on US -59; and a 1997 Honda driven by Joann Buzbee Sullivan, age 76 of Atlanta.
"At this time we have not determined the direction of travel of Ms. Sullivan’s vehicle," a press statement from Atlanta Police Department said. "Ms. Roberson was taken to a Texarkana Hospital by Lifenet EMS. Ms. Sullivan was transported from the scene by Atlanta Fire Department EMS and was taken by helicopter to a Texarkana hospital where she was pronounced deceased at approx. 11:25 am."
Anyone who may have witnessed this accident should contact the Atlanta Police Department immediately.
