The Atlanta High School girls’ golf team gave a whole new meaning to the phrase “Sweet 16”.
On April 7, the Lady Rabbs brought home their 16th consecutive district title and did so in fine fashion by beating out the runner-up by a whopping 107 strokes.
Head Coach Whitney Taylor was elated at the feat.
“For anyone trying to do the math, the winning streak started in 1998 and has not stopped since. We are thinking this has to be some sort of record,” Taylor beamed. “These ladies have worked their bottoms off trying to prepare for this season and their hard work is paying off.”
Coach Taylor talked about how the girls approached the pursuit of their 16th straight title.
