LKJH boys’ track team racks up awards at meet

Linden-Kildare’s junior high boys’ track program competed at New Boston on March 17, and the Tigers took some several awards.
Individual results included seventh grader, Ty Patterson placing second in the 110m hurdles with a time of 20.54.
Patterson also claimed sixth place in the high jump with a height of 4’8”.
For the eighth grade, Ja’Kevian Rose took home plenty of hardware.
Rose placed first in the 110m hurdles with a time of 18.55, second in the 300m hurdles with a time of 48.44, third in the high jump event with a height of 4’10” and fourth in the long jump with a distance of 16’6”.
Marty Johnson placed fourth in the 300m hurdles at 49.62 and sixth in the 110m hurdles at 21.19.
Other competitors included Dalton Alford, Marquise Jones, Mohab Khorsid, Chris Haley, Dre’Shawn Williams, John Randall Fitts, Lane Crenshaw and Tyler Durham.
The LKJH boys’ track teams competed at Paul Pewitt in the Brahma Relays on March 24, and will take part in the District 19-2A Meet at Paul Pewitt High School on Thursday April 3.
