Teen U Gold Award Project

Lessons learned after high school generally don’t include how to balance their checkbook, ward off criminals or keep up with their schedule. One local teen is endeavoring to change that. The first annual Teen U Gold Award Project is slated for Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Atlanta First United Methodist Church (FUMC) at 701 Lindsey Lane.Four workshop sessions will teach attendees about finance, self-defense, health and fitness and time management.
