LPD receives funds for two new patrol units

The Linden police chief was excited to announce that the department recently received two new patrol units for officers to use for drug interdiction and human smuggling interdiction.
Linden Police Department Sgt. Tony McDuffie applied for the $75,699.76 grant that allowed the department to purchase two fully equipped 2014 police issue Chevrolet Tahoes. McDuffie said the Arkla-Tex Council of Government Justice Assistance Grant was awarded on Aug. 29.
