Tigers take 3rd place in James Bowie tourney

The Linden-Kildare Tigers competed in the James Bowie Tournament between Dec. 5 and Dec. 7.
The Tigers won two out of three games to take third place overall.
L-K’s first contest was against the Maud Cardinals in which the Tigers were 52-45 winners.
Jordan Craver led the charge with 15 points and eight rebounds followed by Cortez Peterson with 14 points and seven rebounds.
The Tigers’ second game of the tournament was against the DeKalb Bears in which L-K fell 48-42.
Craver once again led the Tigers in scoring with 17 points followed by Peterson with nine.
The Tigers’ final game was against the tournament hosts for third place, and L-K won the game by a wide margin of 48-26.
Cardale Peterson led the Tigers with 10 points, eight rebounds, and four steals.
The rest of the Tigers supported Peterson with a balanced scoring attack to secure the victory.
Craver’s strong play earned him All-Tournament Team honors.
